Stop Deep-Sea Mining

Deep-sea mining is the practice of extracting mineral deposits from the ocean floor at depths below 200 meters, and it could have major environmental consequences. Exploration of this type of mining is rapidly growing worldwide, and we must act quickly to ensure our ocean is protected before mining gains an even larger foothold.

If we don’t take action now, we risk sleepwalking into doing irreversible harm to our ocean and all who rely on it.

Rep. Ed Case (D-HI-01) introduced two vital bills to avoid the devastating effects of deep-sea mining: the American Seabed Protection Act (H.R. 664) and the International Seabed Protection Act (H.R.663).

Add your name and urge your congressional representative to act to stop deep-sea mining.
