Our ocean is sending a warning, and it's time for Congress to listen.

Marine heatwaves are causing coral reef die-offs. Brown pelicans and other seabirds are washing up on California beaches in record numbers due to harmful algal blooms destroying their food supply. A rare, supercharged El Niño is picking up steam in the Pacific Ocean.

And with the Trump administration announcing it will dismantle a $368 million ocean-monitoring system, on top of an alarming budget proposal to significantly reduce funding for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), we need all hands on deck.
