A private corporation is one step closer to mining the seabed in the Clarion-Clipperton Zone of the Pacific Ocean, lying between Hawaii and Mexico.

Take action to say: Our ocean is NOT open for mining. Tell the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to halt all deep-sea mining applications NOW.

The threats from mining are too much for our ocean to bear. Deep-sea mining strips mineral deposits from the ocean floor. And research suggests that underwater ecosystems will be forever changed because the ancient seafloor habitats removed by mining are effectively irreplaceable.
