Keep Microplastics Out of Our Ocean

Microplastics are tiny particles that present a dangerous threat to our ocean. They pervade not only the ocean but are found on land and in the air, from the top of Mount Everest to the bottom of the Mariana Trench. Nearly 1,300 marine species, from tiny plankton to massive whales, have been documented to ingest plastic.

New research emerges each month that shows the impact microplastics are having on the health of the ocean, sea creatures and even our own bodies. No place on Earth is immune to microplastic pollution. We must take action now.

We need ocean advocates, like you, to help push for policies and innovations that can help keep plastics out of our ocean. Use your voice to push for policies to help keep microplastics out of our ocean.
