Last year, California passed model legislation to tackle the plastic-pollution crisis at its source and will keep 23 million tons of plastic off our shelves and, ultimately, out of our ocean. We need this type of action at the federal level.
If we don’t act now, plastic production and use are on track to double in the next decade. We need federal legislation that holds plastic makers accountable, curbs plastic production and encourages reuse.
To protect our ocean, and the communities and wildlife that depend on it, we must stop plastic production. Act now and call on Congress to support legislation that reduces ocean plastic pollution.
